The process
A clear process, from first conversation to launch and beyond.
Seven stages, each with a concrete outcome. You work with the founders directly through all of them, no handoffs to a queue you cannot see.
The process
Seven stages, start to finish.
- 01
Understand the bakery
We learn your menu, your custom work, your busy seasons, your team, and how requests reach you today, phone, forms, social messages, and walk-ins alike.
- A working session with the owner or manager, not a questionnaire
- Review of the current website, ordering setup, and inquiry channels
- Your busy seasons, your custom work, your team, your regulars
- 02
Map the customer journeys
We lay out every way a customer buys from you, everyday orders, custom cakes, weddings, catering, corporate orders, seasonal preorders, and decide what each path should ask and where it should lead.
- Every way a customer buys, documented before anything is designed
- What each kind of request needs to collect, and what it should skip
- Where everyday ordering stays, and where specialized requests go
- 03
Design the experience
We design the site around your brand and those journeys: the pages, the menu presentation, the photography direction, and the request experiences, reviewed with you before build.
- Art direction aligned to your brand, not a bakery theme
- Menu presentation, photography direction, and page structure
- You review and approve the design before build begins
- 04
Connect the systems
We connect your existing Square, Toast, Clover, or Shopify ordering, set up the specialized forms, notifications, confirmations, and the workspace where requests will live.
- Square, Toast, Clover, or Shopify ordering connected accurately
- Specialized forms, confirmations, and notifications configured
- The owner workspace where requests will be organized
- 05
Build and test
We build the site and the system, then test every path the way a real customer would use it, on phones first, because that is where most of your customers are.
- Every customer path tested the way a real customer uses it
- Phone-first testing, because that is where most customers are
- Form delivery and notification checks before anything goes live
- 06
Launch carefully
We launch with redirects, metadata, analytics, and form delivery verified, so nothing about your existing traffic or ordering breaks in the handoff.
- Redirects and metadata handled so existing traffic is not broken
- Analytics verified so you can see what the site is doing
- A deliberate launch, not a quiet flip of a switch
- 07
Continue improving
After launch we handle updates, seasonal menu changes, and support, and keep improving the system as your bakery grows.
- Seasonal menus and featured products updated for you
- Support handled by the people who built the system
- The system deepens as your bakery grows, no rebuild required
Timeline
How long does it take?
A Foundation project typically launches in a few weeks. Operations and Command projects take longer because they include request workflows in addition to pages.
You receive a specific timeline with your recommendation before anything starts, and the launch date is confirmed together, with your existing ordering undisturbed throughout.
Start with a fit review. It is the first stage, and it is free.
We partner with a limited number of established bakeries at one time so each project receives focused strategy, design, and implementation.
